Privacy Policy

Who we are

FreshThink LLC is a California company. We help local service businesses get found, including through our SparkIQ platform. This policy covers freshthink.com, getsparkiq.com, our free AI Visibility Check, our application interviews, and the business contacts we keep for outreach.

If you are a SparkIQ client, the work we do for your business is covered by the SparkIQ Privacy Policy instead.

What we collect

When you fill in a form. Our contact form asks for your name, email, company, phone (optional), a subject and your message. Your message goes straight to our team.

When you run an AI Visibility Check. Your business name, website, city and category, and your email so we can send you the report. If you book a call, we also get your name, phone number and a short note about your situation.

When you take an application interview. Your name, email, business name, website, mobile number and city, every answer you give, and the summary, scores, and notes our AI interviewer writes about your application. We may use your name and business name to make a short personal video greeting for you.

Automatically. When you start a check or an interview, we keep a scrambled code made from your network (IP) address, plus the time. The code is a salted, one-way hash. We do not store the address itself with these records. We use the code only to limit how many requests one network can make in an hour. It is not anonymous, so we treat it as personal information. Our pages also use Google Analytics and PostHog, which set cookies to see which pages people visit. Sentry gets error reports, including your browser and device. Our servers log basic request details to keep things running and secure.

From other sources. To find businesses we might help, we buy business data from a commercial business-data provider. That can include a company's name, website, location, industry and size, and the name, job title, email, phone number and LinkedIn profile of people who work there. We may add research from the business's own website and other public sources. When you run a check, we also keep what AI answer engines said about your business.

How we use it

To run your check and send your report. To run your interview and decide if we're a good fit. To answer your message. To follow up with you about our services. To reach businesses we think we can help. To stop abuse of our free tools. To see how our pages are used and make them better. To meet legal requirements.

We do not sell personal information.

Who sees it

Only companies that work for us, and only what they need:

• The AI answer engines the check measures get your business name, website, city and category.
• The AI provider that runs our interviews gets your answers.
• Vendasta and HighLevel, our customer and marketing tools, hold your contact details and may send you follow-up emails.
• Our email, text message and video providers.
• The business-data provider mentioned above.
• Google Analytics, PostHog and Sentry.
• Our own team, through our workplace messaging and email, so we see new leads.

Mobile numbers and SMS consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Text messages

If you agree to texts from FreshThink or SparkIQ, we use your mobile number to message you about your application and next steps, up to 4 messages a month. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Agreeing is optional, and you can start an interview without it. When you agree, we keep a record of it: the time, your mobile number, which interview you started, the wording you agreed to, and the page you agreed on. Where it's stored

On Amazon Web Services in the United States, in an encrypted database that can't be reached directly from the internet. The companies listed above keep what they hold under their own terms. If you're outside the US, your information is sent to and kept in the US, where privacy laws may differ from yours.

How long we keep it

We keep check, interview, contact form and prospect records until we no longer need them or you ask us to delete them. We don't delete them on a fixed schedule yet. Our server logs are kept for about a month. Our database backups are kept for seven days, so something we delete can stay in a backup for up to a week after.

How to ask us to delete your information

Email hello@freshthink.com with "Delete my data" in the subject line, and tell us the email address or phone number you used. A person on our team handles each request. We'll delete your records and write back to confirm. We'll also ask the companies listed above that hold your details to delete them.

Two things we keep, even after a deletion: if you agreed to texts, the record of that agreement, and the fact that you asked us to stop contacting you. We keep those so we can prove what you agreed to and make sure we don't contact you again.

Your other choices

You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email. You can reply STOP to any text. You can block or clear cookies in your browser. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to see what we hold about you, correct it, get a copy, or object to some uses of it, including under California, European, UK, Swiss and Canadian privacy laws. Use the same email address for any of these. We won't treat you differently for asking.

Children

Our services are for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
